Sikhlens is a non-profit organization that was founded over twenty-five years ago in Southern California. Their goal has been to change the narrative surrounding Sikhs in the mainstream. Through their many programs, particularly those related to creating and screening Sikh centric films, they have been able to promote an awareness of the Sikh community. Sikhlens’ presence is well known, not only by the local community and universities, but also around the United States. Art & Films enhance the appearance, voice and identity of a community thereby increasing sense of pride and belonging. Keeping in mind the overall development of the society, Sikhlens 2022 not only supported good art work and encouraged worthy artists by providing them a platform to showcase their talent. It also provided an incredible opportunity for the people to reconnect with their forgotten roots by spreading awareness about the Sikh legacy through films and the glorious display of various art forms making the event a definite success.
