China's Communist Party turns 100

Today, China's ruling Communist Party, which came to power in China nearly 72 years ago, is marking its centenary.

The CPP was founded in 1921 but 100 years on, China's leaders face formidable challenges, from falling birth rates and income inequality to rural-urban opportunity gaps.
