2023 Artist-in-Residence Program Presentations, 10:30am, C2303 MCN: VI4 and ArtLab invite you to join us for a presentation of the artwork produced by this year’s VI4 Artist-in-Residence students. Artists were grouped into cohorts during this 10-week long summer session, and paired with laboratories to create a collection of artwork which will be used to enhance the link between art and science and communicate science through visual media. Join us to celebrate the powerful artwork generated this summer and learn more about the VI4 Artist-in-Residence program.
Burroughs Wellcome Fund Info Session, 2pm, 512 Light Hall: Drs. Lou Muglia, President and CEO of BWF, and Victoria McGovern, BWF Senior Program Officer, will discuss BWF programs. This is designed for both faculty and postdocs. The session will be in-person (Light Hall, room 512), and space is limited. Please register here if you would like to join us! Artist-in-Residence Gallery Opening, 4:30pm, Cohen Memorial Hall: Join us for a showcase of four years of artwork from the VI4 Artist-in-Residence program! This event will feature the work of visionary undergraduate artists from Vanderbilt and universities across the country and their scientist collaborators. This event takes place in the Vanderbilt Fine Arts Gallery, located in Cohen Memorial Hall. Light bites and refreshments will be served.
