Lynn Brown (Communications & Development Manager)
I am so excited to join the team at DLSNC on a more permanent basis after a few years of involvement with the school! I am an east coast transplant, though I have lived in Portland since the late 90s, so I almost consider myself an Oregonian! I hold a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Journalism, and have worked and volunteered in and around education for many years in fundraising and events.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my four amazing teenagers, playing tennis and exploring all the wonderful things our beautiful PNW has to offer - from waterfall hikes to hunting for chanterelles!
Christopher Bushman (Theology Teacher)
I recently left a long career in technology so I could pursue a professional position as a High School Theology Instructor at De La Salle North Catholic High School. I am not new to teaching as I have been a volunteer catechist at my Catholic parish for more than twenty years working mainly with young children and adults, but this is the first time I have taught in a professional capacity and worked with teenagers. I am thrilled to be here! I earned a B.A. degree from the University of Oregon with a double major in Political Science and English many years ago. During Covid, I studied Theology at Gonzaga University, graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Theology and Leadership.
I have lived in the Portland area most of my life and currently reside with my recent U of O graduate daughter and our elderly Black Lab, Sparkle. I enjoy traveling, Scandinavia last year and Turkey in 2026, volunteering, reading, and growing flowers in containers. I am teaching two sections of Junior Theology this year but look forward to getting to know all of our students.
Emme McCord (Mathematics Teacher)
I grew up in Wilsonville, OR and hold a B.A. with a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Education, as well as a MAT in Secondary Education from the University of Portland. This past year I served as a student teacher at Wilsonville High School as well as a substitute teacher at the same school. I'm excited to serve the De La Salle Community to help students become prepared for college and life outside of high school. My hobbies include playing the guitar, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and watching Oklahoma Football with my family.
Jesse Watson Jr. (Vice Principal for Academics)
I grew up in Salisbury, North Carolina, and hold a B.S. in Mathematics from Winston-Salem State University and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Concordia University. Since beginning my career in education in 2015, I have served as a high school mathematics teacher, dean of students, curriculum designer, senior advisor, and bowling coach. Before making the move to Portland, I also spent time as an emergency dispatcher; an experience that taught me to remain calm when absolutely everything seems to be happening at once.
I currently serve as Vice Principal for Academics, where I am passionate about supporting teachers, strengthening instruction, and helping create the conditions in which both teachers and students can thrive. I especially enjoy the work of turning big educational ideas into practical things that people can actually use in the classroom.
Outside of school, I love to roller skate and have discovered that I am apparently an artist (loosely defined as someone who projects an image onto a surface, traces it, and then colors it in)!
Alexandria (Lexi) Williams (College Success Specialist)
I grew up just across the river in Southwest Washington, graduating from Columbia River High School. I went to Sewanee: University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee (YSR!), where I majored in English with a minor in Politics and played volleyball all four years.
After graduating from Sewanee, I followed my passion for educational equity which led me to Teach For America, where I taught English on the Pine Ridge Reservation. I love reading, hiking with my dog Winnie, spending time with family, and have recently started to dip my toes into amateur gardening and sourdough baking!
