Teen country singer Tegan Marie signed her record deal when she was 13 years old. In the last two years, the Michigan native has written, recorded and released songs, played concerts, walked red carpets and made her Grand Ole Opry debut.

This week, the Warner Music Nashville and Sweety High Country artist is profiled in the new docu-series “Opry NextStage presents Tegan Marie: In The Making." Part one of the four-part series is out now with the remaining three episodes to be released one a week over the next three weeks on YouTube.

Tegan Marie, 13, debuts with two original songs at the Grand Ole Opry on Aug. 18, 2017.

Other artists to be profiled in the series include Riley Green, Tenille Townes and Travis Denning.

Tegan Marie’s series was filmed during her early days in Nashville and includes her signing her record deal at Warner Music Nashville, singing with Kelsea Ballerini, learning she’s going to perform on the Grand Ole Opry and other career milestones.

Fans got a preview of the project in January during the Opry NextStage launch concert at Ole Red on Lower Broadway.

Tegan Marie, 13, talks with reporters in her dressing room at the Grand Ole Opry on Aug. 18, 2017.

“The Opry is 93 years old and it is all of our responsibility to make sure it is still amazing for the next 93 years,” said Grand Ole Opry General Manager Sally Williams. “You all are going to be part of that as we usher in the next generation to Country music.”

Tegan Marie’s current songs include “Keep It Lit” and “I Know How to Make a Boy Cry.” The teen has plans to release a new song later this month.
