This installation is a collaborative project between Indian artist Procheta Mukherjee Olson living in the U.S. and her American friend living in India. They recorded initial experiences of the place that each had just moved to. These impressions are inscribed on objects that are peculiar to this new place, something unseen in their country of origin. They deconstructed and examined the process of assimilation. They aim to create a consciousness of similarity and difference while also showing how personal narratives act as gateways into the larger collective.
