Julieta V. García, 2023 Distinguished Speaker

On April 14, 2023, the Center for Mexican American Studies hosted Julieta Villarreal García, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the first Latina to serve as president of a college or university in the United States in 1986. “Persistence Counts” covers the experiences and achievements of Dr. Julieta V.
