Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program

Overview

The Boys to Leaders Foundation empowers, motivates, and inspires young men by providing

leadership training, educational programs, and positive personal and professional development.

The Foundation's primary goal is to unleash young men's potential while offering the resources

they need to succeed!

The Boys to Leaders Foundation provides a Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program to

young men who demonstrate academic achievement and leadership in school and/or community.

The program recognizes recipients for their capacity to lead, serve, and commit to significantly

impacting their schools and communities.

Eligibility Requirements

● Must be currently enrolled or have been accepted as a full-time student at an accredited

college, university, or trade school.

● Primary residency in New Jersey.

● Minimum G.P.A. of 2.0 (70%) or above.

● Must be male between the ages of 18-25.

● Demonstrate leadership abilities through community service, extracurriculars, or

volunteer activities.

All applicants are required to submit the following:

● Must submit a transcript.

● Admission Verification – If you already have been accepted at a two- or four-year

college/university or trade school in and out of state, you must include a copy of the

acceptance letter.

● Must submit a letter of recommendation (see page 8). The letter can be from your

teacher, professor, coach, employer, or a significant adult (excluding parents or relatives)

from a social service or non-profit organization where you have volunteered.

● Essay Questions

○ Please respond to the essay question(s) using a separate sheet.

○ It must be no more than 500 words, typed, in font size 12, and double-spaced.

● Must submit the completed scholarship application on the form provided by the Boys to

Leaders Foundation. All sections must be completely filled out.

Disclaimer:

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges (“the Panel”) chosen by the Boys to Leaders

Foundation-Scholarship Committee. All names will be removed from applications, and the Panel

will receive applications with applicant numbers. The Panel will use a point-based rubric to

assess each application. The point-based rubric includes points for extracurricular activities,

community service, letters of recommendation, and essays submitted.
