Finished 2nd on the team in scoring (10.9), 1st in rebounding (7.8) and tops in blocks (1.0) … shot 54.9 percent from the floor (90-164) … ranked 9th in the nation with 3.6 offensive rebounds per game … had three contests of 8+ offensive boards and nine outings of 5+ … responsible for five of UTA’s six double-doubles on the year, which were tied for the 4th most in the WAC despite playing in just 24 games … made 21 starts, but missed the final eight games of the year due to a hip injury … 13 games of double-figure points and six performances of 10+ rebounds … established a season high twice with 18 points versus California Baptist (Jan. 25) and also Seattle U (Jan. 7) ... tied a career high with eight free throws in that Seattle U game … pulled down a season-best 16 rebounds against Hardin-Simmons (Nov. 15) … all eight rebounds against North Texas (Dec. 6) came on the offensive end, making him one of just seven players nationally from 2016-23 to secure at least eight offensive rebounds and zero defensive boards in a game … averaged 23.5 minutes per game.

Shot 61.6 percent from the floor (53-86) … notched four games of double-figure points … tallied 15 points – his most as a member of UTA – in his first start with the Mavs against Mary Hardin-Baylor (Nov. 13) … went 6-6 from the floor in that game, tied for the 10th-most makes without a miss (minimum five attempts) in program history … team-best 14 points and a team-high-tying eight rebounds against Howard Payne (Dec. 22) … posted back-to-back double-figure point games to open conference play: 14 opposite South Alabama (Dec. 30) – his most against a Division-I opponent – and 10 versus Troy (Jan. 1) … eight points and six rebounds at ULM (Feb. 10) … finished 2nd on the team with 47 offensive rebounds (leader: 48) … had nine games of 5+ rebounds … eight contests with at least one blocked shot … played in 26 of UTA’s 29 games, with the three misses all being coach’s decision versus Lamar (Dec. 11), Texas State (Jan. 27) and App State (Feb. 5) … averaged 13.5 minutes per contest.

Nearly averaged a double-double for the entire year with 12.1 points and 9.8 rebounds over the course of 31 games … ranked 3rd in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) in rebounds per game … tied for 20th in the nation in boards per game … shot a gaudy 64.1 percent from the floor, which was the 5th-best percentage in the country … scored a season-best 29 points on 12-14 shooting against Bismarck State (Dec. 29), and also pulled down 13 rebounds – one of his 13 double-doubles on the season, including five-straight to end the year … secured 14 or more rebounds seven times, and grabbed a season-high 18 caroms against Tohono O’odham (Dec. 4).
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Tolleson Union High School outside Phoenix in 2019 … averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior in 2018-19, earning All-Region First Team honors …also landed on the All-Region First Team as a junior in 2017-18 … a three-sport talent at Tolleson Union as he also lettered in football and track and field.
