HOUSE EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE COMMITTEE RELEASES REPORT ON ANTISEMITISM IN HIGHER EDUCATION
A new report released Tuesday by Republicans on the House Education and Workforce Committee asserts that antisemitism in higher education is a widespread issue, not limited to recent events or a small number of campuses. The report, which follows committee hearings held last year, argues that institutional leadership failures and campus groups have contributed to the problem and offers recommendations for colleges and policymakers. Among its proposals, the report encourages institutions to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism, review hiring and admissions practices and strengthen oversight of international branch campuses.
