Smack Talk: SmackSongs has promoted four on its publishing team: Sr. Dir./Creative Lee Krabel rises to VP/Publishing, Mgr./Creative Jeremy Groves to Dir., Coord./Creative Sam Sarno to Mgr. and Mgr./Catalog Carly Sater to Coord./Creative. Krabel has been with the company for five years and helped sign writers including Aaron Eshuis, Ryan Beaver, Emily Falvey, Scott Stepakoff, Josh Dorr and Tigirlily and secure cuts by Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Morgan Wallen and Jordan Davis. “Lee has done a tremendous job leading our publishing team through the pandemic,” says SVP/Development Robert Carlton. “Through his signings and leadership, he’s brought Smack to its most prosperous time to date." He adds, "I’m so excited for Jeremy, Sam and Carly. They have grown into three of the best publishers in town in the last year."
