Chronicle: Robison
Charlie-Robison23.jpg Chronicle: Singer/songwriter Charlie Robison passed away yesterday (9/10) after suffering a cardiac arrest and other complications. He was 59. Born and raised in Texas, Robison became a factor in the Austin music scene in the early '90s. He signed with Sony in 1998, originally to its Lucky Dog imprint, and scored a top 30 hit with "I Want You Bad" in 2001. He was married to The Chicks' Emily Strayer from 1999 to 2008. In 2018, complications from a surgical procedure left him unable to sing, but he was able to resume touring last year. No word on services.
