Food delivery service DoorDash is expanding to Cool Springs and Franklin.

Rachel Traughber, of Ashland City, Tenn., who has been a delivery driver for Favor for about 10 months, inputs a receipt on July 19, 2016, in Nashville, Tenn.

The business, which came to Nashville in July, will be available in Williamson County starting Friday.

"We've grown incredibly quickly," said Alex Kown, Nashville city manager for DoorDash. "A lot of our customers we serve and restaurants we work with have either locations or live out there."

Kown said they will offer more than 250 options to customers in Williamson County between Franklin, Cool Springs and Brentwood.

In Nashville, DoorDash competes with other delivery services such as GrubhubOrderUpFavorPostmates, UBEReats and Doorstep Delivery. Services such as Grubhup and OrderUp offer limited service in Franklin while others such as Postmates are not yet available in the area. Delivery Dudes is also located in Franklin and offers a wide range of restaurant and drink options.

But Kown said he sees room for DoorDash in Franklin.

"It’s kind of an underserved market when it comes to delivery," Kown said. "There's not really the other bigger players in that market."
