Track & Field 8/28/2024 10:32:02 AM Former River Hawk Noelle Lambert to Compete in Paralympics BOSTON – Former UMass Lowell women’s lacrosse student-athlete Noelle Lambert will make her second Paralympic appearance, competing in the Long Jump at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, which begin on Wednesday. Lambert, who lost her left leg in an auto accident when she was in college has detailed her journey numerous places, including this TEDx Talk. She competed in the T63 100 meter dash, finishing fifth in the world in the event. T63 is a designation for runners with movement moderately affected in one leg or the absence of limbs above the knee. She placed sixth in the 2020 Paralympics in the 100 meters. In 2024, Lambert will be competing in the T63 Long Jump and the T63 100 meters. She will compete in the long jump on Sept. 5 and is one of only three competitors that have cleared 5.2 meters over the past year. She will compete in the T63 100 meters on September 7, where her season-best of 15.12 seconds is ranked among the top-8 in the world. Lambert also competed in Season 43 of the Survivor, becoming the first amputee do so. She finished eighth during the season. Lambert also founded Born to Run, a non-profit which helps young adults and children get prostheses.
