WASHINGTON, DC — A 5-year-old boy is among six people injured in a shooting at a northeast DC barbershop Friday night. DC police responded to Snap's Barbershop in the 6200 block of Dix Street Northeast at 6:15 p.m. after receiving reports that three suspects entered the business and started shooting.

Snap's Barbershop is located in the city's Northeast Boundary neighborhood. Chief Peter Newsham with the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed during a briefing Friday that the business is where a similar shooting happened in August 2018. That shooting left one person dead, FOX 5 reported.

Newsham said the additional victims include four men and one woman. All were taken to nearby hospitals with gunshot wounds, though Newsham said their injuries are non-life-threatening.
