Thank you for supporting our not-for-profit music association whose mission is to advocate for the authentic voice of American Roots Music around the world. Our efforts enhance the general awareness of our genre and community by taking the form of projects that increase our general visibility – all with the ultimate goal of connecting artists to an appreciative audience. Only through your membership and financial support can we continue to do our work.

Please note: If you are purchasing memberships for more than one person, please use a unique email address for each individual. Ballots for our annual Board of Directors and Honors & Awards elections are sent to each individual member email address. Each email address constitutes one vote.

If you have opted out from receiving our emails, you will not receive the ballots for our annual Board of Directors and Honors & Awards elections. You may opt back in by joining our mailing list here. You will receive an email asking you to confirm this.

Memberships are non-refundable for any reason including, but not limited to, failure to use membership due to illness, acts of God, technological problems and loss of employment. Once your payment is processed, your benefits are available immediately.

Membership Information

Artist Memberships are ONLY available for Artists, Musicians and Songwriters and exist at our "starving artist" rate.
Industry Memberships are ONLY available for professionals who work in the music industry.
Donor Memberships are for music fans or others who want to support the Association.

If you are both an artist and an industry professional, you must join at the Industry rate to be listed as both.

Please note: All Membership Categories are reviewed. If the category you have chosen does not correlate with the level of membership you have purchased, your Membership Category will be changed to match the level purchased. Artist Memberships can only choose "Artist/Musician/Songwriter" as their category. Donor Memberships can only choose "Donor" as their category. If you are both an artist and an industry professional, you must join at the Industry rate to choose "Artist/Musician/Songwriter" and Industry categories.

All members must use a unique Email 1 address. There are no exceptions.

IMPORTANT: The email listed in Email 1 is the default email that is listed in the Member Directory. You can remove Email 1 from being listed in the directory after you have completed the membership application. To change the email address listed in the directory, 1) Login at AmericanaMusic.org/Login, 2) Select Member Directory in the dropdown menu, 3) Click on "[Update my profile listed on the membership directory]" and 4) Remove or replace what is written in the Email field. If you do not follow these steps, Email 1 will be visible to all members within the Member Directory.
