Congratulations to Bangalore-based educator, Rajvi Trivedi, the winner of this year’s SIMA India SDG Challenge! 🏆 Rajvi Trivedi is an educator and changemaker, working with Sattva- A Space for Lifelong Learning. Through SIMA Academy, she leveraged film as a tool to encourage critical thinking and raise awareness on pressing global issues. Rajvi’s work aimed to connect the concept of responsible global citizenship with practical actions, using art, dance performances, and magazine creations to spread awareness within the local community. Her winning project directly engaged students in artistic expressions, empowering them to think critically about their role in social change and their capacity to make a positive impact on society. Through these experiences, she helped students reflect on their biases, question conventional education systems, and take meaningful steps towards creating a more sustainable future, aligning with SDGs like Gender Equality, Quality Education, and Sustainable Consumption. 📖 Read Her Impact Story: https://lnkd.in/gJf2iV2D 🎖 Additionally, today we're celebrating the SIMA India SDG Challenge Runner Up, Ahmedabad-based educator, Anubha Arora. 🎉 Thank you to our incredible partners, GEEO Teacher Travel Programs, Global Citizenship Foundation, IB Festival of Hope, Liferarian Association, Dreamtime Learning, and De Pedagogics. #SIMAIndia #IndiaEducation #EducatorsOfIndia #LeadingSDG4 #TransformingEducation #Education #Educators #TeachSDGs #GlobalCitizen #GlobalEd #GlobalEducation #GlobalCitizenship #GlobalCitizenshipEducation #SDGs #SDG4 #SIMAacademy #SDGChallenge #Changemaker #MIL

Spotlight on IGUALADA, Directed by Juan Mejía Botero Human Pictures, SIMA 2025 Systemic Change Award Winner, Sponsored by The Foundation for Systemic Change. In one of Latin America’s most unequal countries, Francia Márquez, a Black Colombian rural activist, challenges the status quo with a presidential campaign that reappropriates the derogatory term “Igualada” — someone who acts as if they deserve rights that supposedly don’t correspond to them — and inspires a nation to dream. With unprecedented access, director Juan Mejía Botero brings his camera into Márquez’s inner circle, as she runs a rousing campaign speaking truth to power, faces death threats, and lives her life in the eye of the storm.
