Revolutionizing Local Food Processing for a Greener Future

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA - Ecotone Renewables, a next-generation public benefit corporation that advances sustainability in local communities, announces the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to further their mission of developing smarter and more sustainable ways to process food waste and condition the earth's soil on a path to a healthier environment.

Founded four years ago, Ecotone Renewables is scaling anaerobic digestion technology to sustainably process food waste and replenish degraded, nutrient-deficient soil. The company converts food waste into a powerful liquid fertilizer through their on-site waste processors called the ZEUS, which is an automated anaerobic digester housed in a shipping container. Their signature Soil Sauce organic fertilizer is then produced and sold to local farmers, home gardeners, retailers, and plant enthusiasts.

With a contract already in place to process all the food waste for the Homewood Senior Center, Ecotone Renewables plans to raise $100,000 to expand their impact and revenue generation by 20% through additional food waste processing, fertilizer production, and product sales. The funds will be allocated as follows: $50,000 on a new ZEUS digester, $25,000 on operations and distribution of products, and $25,000 on marketing and R&D.

"We exist to empower communities to achieve sustainability through innovation and climate-smart practices," said Dylan Lew, CEO of Ecotone Renewables. "Our goal is to create a healthier environment by developing smarter ways to process food waste and replenish degraded soil, and we need your support to take our mission to the next level."

Ecotone Renewables is made up of a dedicated and experienced team, including COO Kyle Wyche and CFO Elliott Bennett. The team's diverse expertise in product development, ecology, finance, and sales positions them well to expand their impact and grow their business.

With recurring monthly revenue, multiple commercial and distribution partners, and an aggressive plan to heal our soil and eliminate food waste, Ecotone Renewables is committed to creating a sustainable future.
