Swartz Center presents: Special talk with Ramzi Ramsey, Managing Director, Blackstone Growth

Join us in-person on August 30, 2023 at 6 - 7 PM ET at the CMU Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship for a conversation with Carnegie Mellon alumnus Ramzi Ramsey, Managing Director at Blackstone Growth in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Topics include a career in finance, technology investing, and Carnegie Mellons' impact on his career. Ramzi Ramsey is a Managing Director at Blackstone Growth (BXG), responsible for investing in the enterprise software and financial technology sectors. BXG is a $4.5B fund within Blackstone, the world's largest alternative investment manager, which manages $1T in assets.  Since joining Blackstone in 2021, Ramzi has led Blackstone’s investments in Cloudinary, Dynamo, and Hotel Engine. Prior to Blackstone, Ramzi was a Partner at SoftBank’s Vision Fund and led investing activity in the enterprise software sector. Prior to SoftBank, Ramzi was an investor at TCV (Technology Crossover Ventures) and began his investing career at TA Associates. In 2022, he was named as one of the Top 10 investors in enterprise software by GrowthCap. 

At Carnegie Mellon, Ramzi was highly involved in student life as an RA/CA, President of the Undergraduate Finance Association, and is a recipient of the Alumni Association Student Service Award. Ramzi's spouse is a CMU-Qatar alum, and all three of his kids are proud owners of Scottie Dog t-shirts.
