Betzwood Park Trailhead for Schuylkill River Trail
From here you can go in many directions for many miles! Try biking to the Philadelphia Art Museum. Stop in Manayunk for lunch or make a pit stop for a cold brew at Conshohocken Brewery. Go west to Collegeville or Phoenixville for less trail traffic and a quieter ride.

Wissahickon Valley Park
Great shade on this ride! There’s even a covered bridge that dates back to the 1700’s. Many bikers use Forbidden Drive because of its flat, gravel path. The Yellow Trail and White Trail are also accessible to bikers.

184.5 miles of towpath creates one of the largest biking trails in the continental U.S. The surface is mainly even hard-backed dirt trail and runs along the north bank of the Potomac River, starting in Washington, DC and ending in Cumberland, MD.

Starting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s beloved trail spans 150 miles along rivers and across mountain passes ending in Cumberland, Maryland where it picks up the Chesapeake Ohio Towpath. This is a great biking vacation for the active family!
