Howdy!!!
As we begin the final stretch of the semester, I want to update you on what your cadet's end of the year will look like. There are many academic dates to be aware of, as well as Corps of Cadets activities taking place, in the next 5 weeks.
Key academic dates include
- Immediately following spring break, the second round of exams (March 19-20) will take place. Consider asking your cadet if they will have exams during this timeframe and whether they have set conditions to be successful
- Following Family Weekend, the third round of exams will take place from April 15-17. Family Weekend will be packed with activities so be sure to check in with your cadet on their exam schedule.
- The last day to Q drop a class is April 18. If your cadet has questions about Q drops, encourage them to visit our academics team at academics@corps.tamu.edu.
- Final exams will take place May 2-7. Once cadets have completed their final exams, they are free to depart..
In addition to these key academic dates, there are also several Corps events I want to make you aware of:
- Family Weekend (April 12-14)
- March to the Brazos (April 20)
- Battle of the Flowers (April 26)
- Final Review (April 27)
I invite all families to join us for Family Weekend and Final Review. These events are some of the Corps’ hallmark events and cadets look forward to them all year long.
These dates will approach sooner than they seem! Though we are in the final push of the school year, I want you to know that our commitment to your cadet and their success is as strong as ever.
Below is a list of available resources and links should your cadet need the extra support. My goal is to ensure every cadet has the tools to be successful, both inside and outside the classroom. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of my staff.
