2025 BBB Students of Integrity Applications are open. Submissions are due January 17, 2025 by end of day. Please contact your school counselor or our offices if you have any questions with your application.

What are the Students of Integrity Scholarships?

The BBB Student of Integrity Awards scholarship program is sponsored by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Foundation. 

Each year, we award $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors who reside in the geographic area served by our BBB: the Greater Des Moines region, the Quad Cities region, and the Siouxland Region.

The Student of Integrity Award scholarships are awards that recognize students that personify values, leadership and integrity.

Application Guidelines

Thank you for taking the time to visit our 2025 Students of Integrity application form. The BBB Students of Integrity Scholarships aim to recognize and reward students that act with integrity throughout all areas of their life as they seek to become young adults who contribute to our local workforce.

What to expect on this application:

- basic contact info
- 1,000 word essay
- your involvement in and out of school
- your future plans (includes an area for you to upload your transcript)
- 2 letters of recommendation

 

Judging Criteria

50% Essay: In 1,000 words or less, write about one specific situation you have personally faced that required you to demonstrate an understanding of ethical decision making. What challenges did you face and what life lessons did you learn from your experience? Don’t just think about right and wrong in terms of legality. Think outside the box! Include your own personal definition of integrity.

30% School Involvement: List your school-related activities and include your role and length of time you participated in each activity. School-related activities would include academic achievements and honors, sports, clubs, offices held and all other school sanctioned organizations.

10% Future Plans and Transcripts: Describe how this scholarship will assist you in meeting your postsecondary education goals. What are your educational plans after high school? Upload a copy of your most recent transcript.

10% Letters of Recommendation: Upload 2 letters of recommendation. Only one may be from school personnel.
