Mission
Provide safe and effective training for all athletes to access their true potential. The Stockton Strength and Conditioning Staff utilize past experiences, best practices, and up to date research to formulate a holistic philosophy in conjunction with open communication between sports medicine and sport coaching staffs to provide the best outcomes for the student athletes.

Methods
Physical Development: Every program is developed with the intention of athletic development based on the needs of the athlete and sport demands. This is achieved by focusing on creating a safe training environment, increasing athleticism, improving neuromuscular system efficiency, improving joint stability, increasing muscular power, strength, and endurance, and reducing likelihood of injury by improving mobility, recovery, and training for the demands of sport. These programs are founded by the core principles of strength and conditioning.

Overload: Stimulating the system more than it is accustomed to being stimulated

Progression: Continue to progress exercises and movements by load, difficulty, frequency, and/or other training variables

Specificity: Movements develop based on the specific way in which they are trained, by utilizing the demands of sport, certain movements are trained in a way that may be used in competition.
