Carlecia Collins*

Former special assistant to the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, advancing priorities for clients across the state. Known for in-depth experience with Florida congressional leadership. 

Carlecia Collins helps clients advance their legislative and business priorities with a focus on building and sustaining meaningful relationships. A veteran of Florida politics with more than a decade of in-depth experience, she is an invaluable ally in shaping and executing government relations strategies and navigating the legislative process. Carlecia collaborates with clients on a range of matters, including monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, liaising with key government representatives, and effectively communicating positions on critical policy matters.

Carlecia’s experience includes serving as a special assistant to the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives and in several leadership roles within the Florida Senate. In her most recent legislative position, she served as a senior legislative assistant for Florida Senate President Bill Galvano, handling statewide board, commission, and task force appointments. Previously, Carlecia served as the “gatekeeper” for House and Senate presiding officers to ensure their availability to legislators, lobbyists, and the public. 

While attending Florida State University, Carlecia worked as a senior legislative assistant for Florida Senate District 16, coordinating budget priorities for the chair of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and serving as the liaison between the chair, constituents, and lobbyists. She is an integral member of the government affairs and lobbying practice and frequently teams with GrayRobinson colleagues across the firm to effectively address legislative issues for clients.
