That's Wrong!

You Chose "C" A Christmas StoryThat's Incorrect!

Home Alone was the highest-grossing comedy at the box office in 1990.

Home Alone was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the "Highest Box-Office Gross – Comedy," grossing $477 million worldwide.

The massively successful movie tells the story of 8-year-old Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), who's accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation. He cleverly protects his house from a pair of burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) using homemade inventions. Director Chris Columbus' biggest fear as a kid was burglars, which was one reason he wanted to make Home Alone. Columbus also had a love of inventions, which cropped up in movies he wrote including Gremlins (1984), The Goonies (1985), and Young Sherlock Holmes (1985).

Remember that iconic image from the poster and video box of Kevin screaming with his hands on his face? That was improvised by Culkin. He forgot to pull his hands away as he screamed for the photographer, and the rest was history!
