CVM Celebrates End of ‘Year’ with Picnic

As the spring semester wound down, and the signs of summer begin to show, the CVM family took a moment to gather and celebrate an academic year filled with events and activities during the 17th Annual CVM Picnic.

Faculty, staff, and students were treated to a barbecue lunch with an ice cream dessert in the Veterinary & Biomedical Education Complex (VBEC) Courtyard on a beautiful, but windy, midday on Friday, May 19, as a thank you for a year of the hard work and dedication.

“Our CVM family works diligently all year to make our college a success,” said Dr. Eleanor M. Green, the Carl B. King Dean of Veterinary Medicine. “Without each and every one of them, we would not be where we are today. Our team is committed to excellence in all we do, and it’s important to take the time to come together and celebrate each other and our accomplishments over the past year.”

Great food, fun, and fellowship have become the hallmarks of the event, as you can see in pictures from the CVM Picnic festivities, via the CVM Flickr account, here.
