For over 30 years, youth have built leadership skills at Cookie Cart.
2022 has been an unprecedented year for the youth and staff of Cookie Cart. Be it leadership transitions, new program opportunities, or a full focus on getting youth back in the bakeries, we have all worked to become masters of adaptability.
As change hangs in the air on West Broadway and Payne Avenue, incredible things are on the horizon for 2023! We’re busy planning a refreshed program model–one that combines learnings from the pandemic with a renewed focus on deeper impact for youth employees, and working hard to dial in our bakery operations to prioritize efficiency and growth so that our program can soar.
We envision a renewed focus on youth impact stories and a sharp eye on Cookie Cart alumni to shine a light on how they’re affecting change in their communities.
