Thanks in large part to Dr. King’s leadership, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson in 1965. Please join us in Wallace Hall to hear historian Brad Perry, long-time teacher of African American studies and co-founder of The Public, discuss the history as well as the current state of voting rights: how that relates to the ongoing struggle for racial justice in our country and the role that the church can play in this effort.
