Tell us a little about yourself.

Hello! I have served as Wellness Coordinator for four years at Washington University. In my role, I oversee the annual health screening program, wellness challenges, health fairs, and other wellness programming. I recently got engaged in September, and my fiance and I are moving into our first home this month!

What drew you to this line of work?

Being a college athlete, I’ve always had an interest in health and wellness. During my sophomore year of college, I joined the activities board on my campus and had the opportunity to plan weekend activities for my peers. With this experience, I found a career path that could link health and wellness to program planning. After completing my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, I continued my education at Missouri State University and received my Masters in Health Promotion and Wellness Management. This led to my role at WashU.

What kind of hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?

When I’m not busy planning our wedding, I like to stay active – whether that’s playing golf with my fiance and family, or earning my splat points at Orangetheory. When we move into our new house, I’m looking forward to spending time decorating our home.

What books are on your bedside table?

Lately, I have read a couple of Colleen Hoover novels. Her work is easy to read and I find myself finishing a book in a couple of days!
