Florence-Lauderdale Public Library has a rich history that spans more than 140 years, beginning with the "Ladies Library" in the late 1800s. We are honored to recognize those early and recent trailblazers who fought so hard to bring this public library to fruition. FLPL is a "community gathering place" filled not only with the best books, but offering free services and programming that is open to all.
