Tours & Field Trips

 

The Delta Cultural Center offer tours and unique living history opportunities for the public to enjoy. Our living history programs include costumed Civil War soldiers and civilians that help interpret several of our sites around historic downtown Helena, including:

  • Fort Curtis
  • Moore Horner House
  • Freedom Park
  • Battery C Park

Types of Groups
All ages from pre-school to senior groups, the Center can accommodate your needs.

Tour Fees
All tours are offered free of charge & no admission fee is required at any of our sites. Donations are accepted by cash, check or credit card.

Scheduling a Tour
A reservation is required for a guided tour for groups of 10 or more. Please call in advance to reserve your date & tour time. Email: [email protected] Phone: 870-338-4350

 

Length of Tour
Due to the Center operating multiple properties, the length of the tour can vary. Tour length can range from an hour to a full day. Please advise staff on the length of your stay when making a group reservation. Staff will assist you in designing your tour itinerary.

Customizing Your Tour
The Center can customize and make recommendations that best fit your group. If you have a specific interest or area of focus, please let the staff know. We will be happy to provide a general overview tour, a specific site tour, or area of interest tour.

Chaperones
The Center requires a 1:10 ratio of chaperones to students. Please keep this in mind when planning your group tour.

Food
Restaurants are limited in the downtown area. For large groups we recommend packing sack lunches or scheduling your meal prior to or following your tour.

Amenities
The Center offers free public parking, bus parking, public restrooms, handicap accessibility and other services. Please refer to Center Venues to explore each site & the various amenities offered at each.

Weather
The Center operates buildings as outdoor sites. Keep this in mind when planning your tour. In case of foul weather, outdoor sites will not be accessible. No matter the weather the Center can offer group tours a quality experience.

Location of Properties
Some properties are located within walking distance of each other. Other properties will require transportation to and from. The Center does not provide busing or shuttles. Refer to Venues section for property addresses. The Center can also provide a map for your convenience.
