Spend Your Memorial Day Weekend with Arizona State Parks & Trails

PHOENIX – This Memorial Day weekend, spend time with your family at the parks! Arizona State Parks & Trails has so many great options to help you relax, celebrate, and unwind.

Head out to the lake parks located throughout the state to fish, swim, kayak, or water ski. There are so many options to help you get the most out of your time off!

Alamo Lake State Park – The fishing at this park is excellent right now, and you can take advantage of the camping and off-highway trails while you’re here.

Lyman Lake State Park – With cabins, camping, and no boat motor size restrictions, this hidden park is a great getaway retreat!

Roper Lake State Park – Take a dip in the hot springs to unwind or recharge your batteries with great fishing, bird watching, and canoeing at the base of Mount Graham.

As it heats up in the lower elevations, it’s a great time to head north to cool off.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park – Located right on the Verde River, this amazing camping park offers water recreation on a slower scale. Kayak, canoe, or paddleboard during the day, then camp overnight and start over the next day!

Homolovi State Park – Camping opportunities abound in this secret spot right off Interstate 40. Amazing trails, epic views, and Hopi culture will make your weekend complete.

Red Rock State Park – Take a day trip to the red rocks of Sedona and explore the more than five miles of family-friendly trails. Wildlife viewing, lush greenery, and backdrops perfect for selfies make this a great adventure.
