The purpose of the Osiris Foundation is to empower youth to live full and rich lives by providing resources and tools that promote overall well-being and offer solutions to current issues in order to reduce the number of young lives lost.
Our Why: Kimani
Kimani Osiris graced the world with his presence on Thursday, May 28, 1998. Kimani, which means sailor and adventurous traveler, captures his Carribean heritage and adventurous spirit; while Osiris, which means rebirth, honors his infinite spirit.
During his 22 year earthly journey, the young man, known for his infectious smile, lived a life full of diverse experiences. Kimani traveled and explored the world at a young age, represented his native Virgin Islands on the junior International Basketball Federation Team (FIBA), and was a creative artist that had a gift for drawing, writing, and recording music. Kimani was loved by family and cherished by friends. Like most young adults, Kimani was on a journey to become his own person. His journey and story could only be written by him. Kimani's presence is deeply missed, but his energy and spirit is the impetus for the creation of the Osiris Foundation.
