Vasconcellos will bring his exceptional storytelling and brand building expertise into this expanded leadership role. As head of Creative Shop, he'll work closely with Facebook's chief creative officer, Mark D'Arcy, who leads creative strategy for Facebook's business.

“We're delighted to welcome Rapha into this role, leading our global Creative Shop team. Rapha has already made a clear impact within Creative Shop, heading up the teams in two of our fastest growing regions over the last six years. He's a proven leader with a unique blend of business focus and creative thought leadership that clients and internal teams have grown to trust deeply over the years. I have no doubt he will continue to inspire the creative community around the globe in this role,” said Carolyn Everson, vice president, global marketing solutions at Facebook.

“I've had the pleasure of working with Rapha since he joined Facebook in 2012. He's a phenomenal leader, brilliant creative, and strong business partner. I look forward to our continued partnership,” added D'Arcy, vice president of global business marketing and chief creative officer at Facebook.

Said Vasconcellos of his new post: "I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Facebook's global Creative Shop team. In my time at Facebook so far, I've had the distinct honor of creating and collaborating on campaigns that have driven meaningful impact for the most relevant brands in APAC and LATAM. It's an exciting challenge to put these strategies to work around the world, helping businesses of all sizes tell their stories and use our platforms to grow.”

In this role, Vasconcellos will help “push the boundaries of creativity in a mobile-first world, helping to unlock growth for our business partners – from the world's most established brands to small businesses and entrepreneurs,” Facebook stated in a release.

The release continued that Facebook was thankful for Andrew Keller's leadership as interim head of Creative Shop and is thrilled for him to continue as global creative director for the team.

Facebook's Creative Shop works in partnership with nearly all major advertising holding groups and collaborates with businesses of all sizes, independent creators, influencers, artists, production companies, media companies and technologists. Last year alone, it helped produce thousands of projects across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Oculus.
