This season, the NJCU softball team will do more than compete—they'll champion a cause that touches countless student-athletes.
The goal of Morgan's Message is to lift the stigma associated with mental health among student-athletes. Mental health challenges don't discriminate, but student-athletes face unique pressures that too often remain hidden behind game-day smiles.
The NJCU softball team is championing the message of the Morgan's Message foundation to bring awareness to suicide prevention. Morgan's Message strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. They aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.
The NJCU softball program is committed to transforming this culture of silence into one of strength, support, and healing.
We would be honored if you could join us on Tuesday, April 22 for this meaningful event, beginning at 3 p.m. (Rain Date: Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m.), or make a contribution to support the NJCU Softball Team and Morgan’s Message. Your presence and support can make a significant impact in promoting mental health awareness and supporting our student-athletes. Because in the fight for mental health, no athlete should ever stand alone.
