Dustin Lynch is calling from the side of the road, mid-route from Boston to Wisconsin. The axle on his band’s trailer broke, and the group is unpacking and reloading everything into different RVs. “I’m supervising the guys, so I can talk,” he says with a laugh.

What he’s talking about is his new behind-the-scenes video series, “On The DL.” “We’ve been on tour, full-time, for about three years. We play 250-plus shows a year. So we’re gone about 300 days a year on the road. It’s crazy, but that’s our life. This show is one of those things I’ve wanted to do for a while—it gives our fans a ‘Hey, this is what goes on behind the scenes, before the doors happen to the venues.’ Show them we’re just a bunch of dudes having fun.”

The episodes have followed him from surprise sets on tourist vans in Mexico (for Crash My Playa) to the band’s first opening slot on Luke Bryan’s That’s My Kind of Night Tour. The newest episode, debuting below, is all about spring break. Lynch went down to Panama City with Bryan for his final spring break concert at Spinnaker Beach Club.

During the set, you’ll hear Lynch introduce his most recent single (after passing out a few chilled beers to fans), “Hell of a Night“—which debuted on the Billboard country charts last week. “Watching it gather steam is the most fun thing we get to experience as a band,” Lynch says of touring with a new song. “The chorus of the song sets up so everyone can throw their hands up and sing along. Every night there’s more people with their hands in the air and singing. It’s a lot of fun to watch that response.”
