Rory Dicker, Ph.D. (she/her)

Rory Dicker joined the Women’s Center staff in January 2015 as Director. Rory grew up in New York State and earned a bachelor of arts from the Johns Hopkins University, where she majored in English and minored in French. After completing her Ph.D. in English at Vanderbilt, Rory taught at Westminster College in Missouri for several years before returning to Vanderbilt to teach courses in English and in Women’s and Gender Studies, where she was Associate Director for four years. The author of A History of U.S. Feminisms, Rory teaches classes about women and literature, feminist pedagogy, and the history of American feminisms. She spends much of her time outside of work with her husband and two daughters, and tries to make it to the beach once a year. She considers herself a bookworm at heart and finds herself happiest when she is immersed in a great read.

ReAnna Roby, Ph.D. (she/her)

A first-generation scholar, ReAnna S. Roby is a graduate of Alcorn State University, Washington State University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her identities as a Black Southern woman in science greatly inform her praxis and her scholarship, which employs critical race feminism, curriculum theory, and critical qualitative methodologies. Dr. Roby brings to the Women’s Center a wealth of experience from her time with the Office of Equity and Diversity and the Women’s Center at Washington State University as well as her postdoctoral teaching and community-engaged research experiences at Michigan State University and the Fisk-Vanderbilt Regional Center of Excellence. A professionally trained clarinetist and a superior contralto, Dr. Roby enjoys singing and making music. Between the flats, naturals, and sharps of life, Dr. Roby describes her life as a musical.

Sarah Brennan, MA, MSW (she/her)

Sarah Brennan joined the Women’s Center as Program Coordinator in June, 2022. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, where she majored in English with a Gender Studies minor. While obtaining her MSW/MA WSGS degree from Loyola University Chicago, she worked at a rape crisis center as the Volunteer & Activism Coordinator. She is passionate about ending sexual violence, with a focus on providing inclusive and comprehensive sex education to all. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her energetic puppy, Koda, playing a game of scrabble, or working on her pandemic hobby, knitting. Sarah is excited to explore and make Nashville her home!

Libby grew up in Nashville and first joined Vanderbilt as a medical photographer in the ‘80’s. After taking a few years off to begin her photography business and author a book, she returned to Vanderbilt. She was employed in Information Technology, Student Employment, Central Library and Jewish Studies before joining the Women’s Center in 2016. She loves the great outdoors and spends her free time walking, reading, writing, and creating art.

Kate Korasick (she/her)

Kate Korasick joined the Women’s Center as a Graduate Assistant in August 2023. Kate grew up in Illinois, and she recently graduated with a bachelor’s in Family and Human Services and History from John Brown University. During her time there she focused her studies on the intersection of policy and culture, striving to understand the historical and modern context surrounding marginalized communities. Kate is currently enrolled in a Masters of Community Development and Action at Peabody. In her free time, she loves to go for walks exploring new places, take care of her 23 different house plants, and rewatch her comfort shows.
