Student Survey Regarding Disability Accommodations

You are invited to participate in our anonymous survey(s) regarding accommodations. There are two separate surveys. One for faculty who give accommodations to students with disabilities through the Student Access and Resource (SAR) Center entitled Faculty Survey Regarding Disability Accommodations and one for students entitled Student Survey Regarding Disability Accommodations. Please check above now that you are taking the correct version of this survey. If both surveys apply to you, please take both.

This survey is serving as research for Kathryn Rogers (she/her); a Disability Studies (DS) minor here at UT Arlington. Kathryn is currently finishing up her minor by interning with the Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence (CRTLE). You may learn more about these programs by visiting the links below. The inclusion criterion for participating in this survey are that you must:
-Be 18 years or older,
-Be a current UT Arlington student, and
-Either a) have a disability/disabilities and receive accommodations from the SAR Center or b) have a disability/disabilities but do not receive accommodations from the SAR Center
If you do not fit all three of the requirements above for the inclusion criteria, then your response will be excluded from the data.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary and should take between 5 and 10 minutes. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you may skip the question(s) or withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn from your input. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only as an overall data set. The set may be broken down by question, but not by person except for written responses which may be shared as isolated responses.

There is no compensation for participants in this study, however, your responses provide the potential to improve the accommodation process here at UTA. Those who administer and those who receive accommodations through the SAR Center may benefit from the data collected. Please note that this benefit is not guaranteed.
