Johnny Hickman is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the lead guitarist and co-founder of the rock band Cracker. 

Born on November 21, 1956, in Lancaster, California, Hickman has been an integral part of Cracker since its formation in 1991. The band gained popularity in the ’90s with hits like “Low” and “Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now).”A mix of alternative rock, country, and blues influences characterizes Hickman’s guitar style. 

In addition to his work with Cracker, he has also released solo albums, including “Palmhenge” (2005) and “Tilting” (2012), showcasing his songwriting and performing abilities. Hickman has contributed to numerous albums and collaborations as a musician, working with artists such as Warren Zevon, Chris Whitley, and Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers. He continues to tour and record with Cracker and pursue his solo endeavors.
