The No. 2 song on the Billboard Hot 100 got the national television audience treatment, as Bebe Rexha, Florida Georgia Line, and a whole lot of backing singers brought the hit to life in Vegas.
“Meant to Be” hasn’t been able to top Drake’s “God’s Plan,” but at the 2018 ACMs, it was arguably the biggest song on the live performance docket. FGH’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley got things going, crooning through the opening lines. Rexha, the hit single’s lead artist, took the stage next. And a bit later, a co-ed, multi-cultural gospel-style backing chorus emerged to provide panoramic background vocals to the slow-burning country-pop hit.
