This special episode will reveal the winning entries of the 2022 HIKI NŌ Spring Challenge, which sparked video projects that met the prompt: DID YOU KNOW? HIDDEN GEMS IN OUR OWN BACKYARD.

Students were challenged to capture their stories on video in seven days. During the normal HIKI NŌ cycle, students receive more time and one-on-one mentorship help from industry professionals.

The result is a medley of stories and profiles that each have something to share about a special treasure in their community.

This episode is hosted by Farrington High School students Issac Liu and Janal Baron, who highlight the winners from the middle and high school divisions.

Scoring took into account how well the project met the theme, along with HIKI NŌ production and storytelling criteria.
