Home Free has seen troubles all their days in their poignant cover of the Grammy-winning tune “Man of Constant Sorrow.” Billboard has the exclusive premiere for the new music video, released Friday (Sept. 28).
The song, famously heard in the 2000 movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? is given a more stripped-down flavor by the quintet. The rustic and warm-toned video, featuring scenery and costumes that look like they could be straight out of the movie, was filmed in Fairhope, Alabama, aligning perfectly with Home Free’s Southern roots.
“We’ve taken this song all around the world this past year on tour,” baritone Adam Chance tells Billboard of the cover. “It was inspiring to be able to bring it back home to Alabama, and really dig deep into the heart of it for our video.”
