Grad Forum 3: Work-Life Balance and Time Management
Monday, February 2, 12:00-1:30 PM
Ahn House (AHN), USC

As part of both the East Asian Studies Center and the Korean Studies Institute's focus on mentoring David Kang, Professor of International Relations and Director of the East Asian Studies Center and the Korean Studies Institute, will present a seminar on time management and balancing work life and personal life. It can sometimes seem as if professional success can only come at the price of personal sacrifice. Academia in particular has a set of unique dynamics and demands that can make it appear difficult to navigate both work and life. This seminar will introduce some basic time management and work-life balance skills that can help ameliorate those tensions. Priorities, publishing, tenure and beyond, and the issue of family and children are among the topics to be covered.

This talk is part of the EASC Grad Forum professionalization series.

Please RSVP by January 30, 2014, the Friday before the event.
