It is an exciting time to be a member of the UWG community, as we empower our students and enhance their experience to support their journey toward graduation! Under Interim President Ashwani Monga’s leadership, our students, faculty, and staff continue to do amazing work, and our academic programs are ranked among the best in the nation in launching students' careers when they graduate – if not before. The UWG Alumni Association board of directors helps shape our trajectory and serves the university in intentional, meaningful ways, and it is my distinct honor and pleasure to lead the board as it invests in the future of UWG.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors fosters relationships between alumni and the university through local, national, and international events and programming.

Applying to the Alumni Board of Directors (alumni)

Serving on the UWG Alumni Board of Directors provides alumni an opportunity to make a tangible, positive difference in the lives of our current students, alumni, and the entire UWG community. Membership requires a three-year commitment, which includes attending quarterly meetings, serving on two board Task Forces with virtual meetings prior to the quarterly board meetings, and making a financial gift to the University. Terms begin July 1 and end June 30. Applications are open through February 1, 2025 for the term beginning July 1, 2025. Please contact alumni@westga.edu with any questions.

Student Alumni Association Board of Directors (current students)

UWG Alumni & Constituent Engagement is excited to invite current UWG students to apply for a position on the Student Alumni Association (SAA) Board of Directors. The SAA Board works closely with the UWG Alumni Association Board of Directors to foster relationships between alumni and the university. SAA Board membership is a meaningful way to be involved in creating the UWG student experience. The SAA Board meets quarterly (four times per academic year) as a full board and works in smaller task forces throughout the year to make a positive impact on UWG students as they interact with alumni.

SAA Board applications for the Spring 2025 semester are open now with a final deadline of November 5, 2025. Applicants will be selected for interviews on a rolling basis as they submit applications, and then selected candidates will be invited to join the board prior to the end of the Fall 2025 semester. SAA Board terms last for one academic year and are renewable through your graduation. Please contact alumni@westga.edu with any questions. Go Wolves!
