This week's mid-week musical meditation is inspired by a poem called, "Ode to Buttoning and UnButtoning My Shirt". Written by Ross Gay, the poem is part of a larger collection in the Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, which is described as "a sustained meditation on that which goes away—loved ones, the seasons, the earth as we know it—that tries to find solace in the processes of the garden and the orchard." After reading the poem aloud, and being inspired by its themes of gratitude, this week Maury offers a track from Stevie Wonder's album Journey Through The Secret Life of Plants.
