Thank you to the 800+ community members and students that joined us in welcoming back Ice Dance International for their second Stowe residency, September 13th-18th, 2021! The (Kittery, ME-based) company offered classes, workshops, invited rehearsals, school tours, and a public performance.

IDI premiered 2 pieces of repertory created in Stowe, VT with legendary choreographers and skaters Cindy Stuart, Douglas Webster, and Kurt Browning.
The first, called ‘Experience’, with music by Ludovico Einaudi, was choreographed March 9-14, 2020, the week the world shut down due to the pandemic. The company’s performance and intended premiere of ‘Experience’, scheduled on Saturday, March 14th, 2020, was canceled along with the rest of the IDI tour planned for that spring.
The second piece to premiere was “Misdirected: A Skating Farce” created by 4-time World Champion, Kurt Browning, during the September 13-18, 2021 residency in Stowe. Says Kurt Browning about the new piece, “Whenever given the chance, I’m a very happy person when I can combine two of my favorite things: skating and laughter.” The score of the piece was created by Jonathan Galland of Bending Reed Music.
Save the date! Ice Dance International will be returning to the Stowe Arena September 12-18, 2022!
