Abortion Rights Advocates Cautious After High Court Rulings (2)

Advocates expressed relief that the US Supreme Court maintained access to abortions in emergency situations, but warn this outcome and an earlier abortion pill decision aren’t wins for reproductive rights.

The ruling that was inadvertently posted on the court’s website on Wednesday and was formally released Thursday, marks the second time this term that the justices nixed a lawsuit seeking to restrict abortion further after the court overturned the constitutional right to the procedure in 2022.
