A Lawrenceville robotics startup working on the warehousing logistics space announced it has undergone a name change and branding overhaul that the company said will lead to "an exciting next chapter" for the firm.

Onward Robotics, previously IAM Robotics, now dawns a new logo and website to mark the occasion. It comes at a time when the company said it's seeing high demand for its Pyxis technology platform and its person-to-goods autonomous mobile robots called Lumabot.

"This transition has been an exciting and transformational process for us," Onward Robotics CEO Lance VandenBrook said in a prepared statement. "Onward Robotics better reflects the organization's strong forward trajectory, our bold and purposeful team, and most importantly, our commitment to moving our clients and the global supply chain forward."

The rebrand comes several months after then-IAM Robotics issued a series of layoffs that resulted in the elimination of many roles at the company. Those layoffs came at a time when many Pittsburgh tech firms opted to trim staffing levels amid a tech-driven downturn that has slowed in recent months.
