New series: Be Fruitful

Questions for Discussion and Reflection:

9.9.2025 – Be Fruitful: Love & Joy
Galatians 5:13-25

  1. Love is listed first among the fruit of the Spirit—why do you think that is? How have you experienced God’s love in a way that has shaped how you love others?
  2. The episode described joy as something deeper than happiness. When in your life have you felt joy even in the midst of difficulty or uncertainty? What helped sustain it?
  3. How do you recognize love and joy growing in your life right now—or where do you feel called to cultivate them more intentionally?
  4. In the episode, they talked about the fruit of the Spirit as a garden to be tended, not a list to be achieved. What spiritual “gardening” practices help you nurture love and joy in your daily life?
  5. Galatians 5 contrasts the fruit of the Spirit with “the works of the flesh.” What are some ways our culture or habits can crowd out love and joy, and how might the Spirit be inviting you to resist those influences?

Looking for ways to discuss love & joy with your family or with kids? Try these:

  1. What does love look like in your family or at school? Can you think of a time when someone showed you love or when you showed love to someone else?
  2. What’s something that brings you real joy—not just something fun, but something that makes your heart feel full? How can you share that kind of joy with someone this week?

6.2.2025 – Pentecost is Here!

  1. When have you experienced the Spirit moving in a way that surprised, challenged, or energized you? What did that moment teach you about God or about yourself?
  2. Acts 2 describes people from many nations hearing the same message in their own languages. How does the Spirit empower us today to connect across barriers like culture, language, or worldview?
  3. Peter quotes the prophet Joel, saying that God’s Spirit will be poured out on all people. What might it look like to truly believe that the Spirit is at work in everyone?
  4. The crowd at Pentecost was bewildered, amazed, and sometimes skeptical. How do you respond when something spiritual feels unfamiliar or uncomfortable?
  5. This episode asks: what if Pentecost isn’t a one-time event, but an ongoing invitation? What’s one area of your life or community where you long to see fresh wind and fire?
