Cruise Lines Have Suspended Operations
If your sailing was canceled and you have purchased
travel insurance, check with your policy provider to see what is covered, the fees you will need to pay and the terms of reimbursement, which could depend on the terms and conditions of your policy. Please note that if you accept a future cruise credit, you can't double dip and also get a fare refund from your travel insurance provider. If your insurance policy doesn't have a cancel for any reason (CFAR) cover in our policy, do not request a stop payment from your credit card. Instead of throwing away your dream vacation, let's take a look at the future cruise credit (FCC) the cruise line is providing. You will be surprised with the deals they are offering, because in the end, we all want for you to make your vacation dreams come true. Remember, this should pass and when it does, you will be ready to take a vacation in the near future. Requesting a stop payment or chargeback will create new fees and charges for you, delay the payment since it might take more than 90 days and worst of all, your dream vacation will be just that... a dream vacation.
Cruise line policies and canceled sailings are changing daily, which is why I will be more than happy to provide you a recomendation, based on all the facts before you make your final decision. Some cruise lines are offering a 100% (or more) future cruise credit and/or full refunds to passengers, on sailings canceled by the cruise line due to coronavirus. When events like the Covid-19 force cruise lines to cease operations, it could provide you with better options than if you were to cancel your trip in advance.
